The Lee Hurst's Backyard Comedy Club, known as The FymFyg Bar since 2007, was started by British stand-up comedian Lee Hurst. Touted as east London’s best live stand-up comedy, the Lee Hurst's Backyard Comedy Club is inexpensive and the perfect place to enjoy your nights out. Recommended as one of London’s friendliest clubs by Time Out, London Paper, The Evening Standard, The Metro, The London Lite, and The Guardian, Lee Hurst’s comedy club offers fantastic shows and live music that keep audiences glued to their seats.

The Lee Hurst's Backyard Comedy Club hosts shows every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights accompanied by food menu and bar facilities. On Saturday nights especially, the late bar & 'Cheese on Toast' Disco are special attractions.

In December and 2010 January and February, Lee Hurst’s Backyard Comedy Club packs some amazing acts by talented comedians Greg Burns, Hal Cruttenden, Erich McElroy, Nick Doody, Martin Davis, Will Smith, Jim Smallman, Jerry Howell, Lloyd Langford, Andrew Maxwell, Rob Rouse, Alistair Barrie, Ali Cook, James Dowdeswell, Howard Read, Rich Wilson, Matt Kirshen, David Ward, Paul Pirie, Maureen Younger, Markus Birdman, Adam Tempest, Luke Benson, Nathan Caton, Nik Coppin, Roger Monkhouse, Dan Evans, Jeremy O’Donnell, Craig Murray, Paul Sinha, Rhodri Rhys, Chris Martin, and Steve Williams, among others.

The Christmas Show and New Year’s Eve performance timings and ticket prices for December are as follows:

  • 10th, Thursday, £10.00 and £25.00 for comedy show and 3-course dinner
  • 11th, Friday, £15.00 and £30.00 for comedy show and 3-course dinner
  • 17th, Thursday, £10.00 and £25.00 for comedy show and 3-course dinner
  • 18th, Friday, £15.00 and £30.00 for comedy show and 3-course dinner
  • 31st, Thursday, £25.00 and £30.00 for comedy show and buffet

Other Saturday night shows cost £12.00 and includes normal bar menu. Also, don’t miss the female London comedy show ‘Girls with Guns’ on 9th December, Wednesday night, performed by comedians Wendy Wason, Ava Vidal, and Lady Carol, with a male comedian as ‘special guest’. Animated, witty, and enthusiastic, Girls with Guns is the best in female comedy in east London. Tickets costs £10.00.
